Our youth deserve nothing but the best for their leaders, and leaders owe it to the youth to be able to deliver a quality program. After completing this sequence there are a number of on-going training programs that educate leaders on advanced leadership techniques and more.
Materials, from quick references to complete courses, all designed to help our members improve leadership skills and deliver a quality program are available at the National Scouting website. Many of the courses can be taken online via the MyScouting site. A login is required, but anyone may create a user account and view the courses. Venturing youth have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of crew operation and leadership in the Venturing Leadership Skills Course, and to learn Youth Protection in addition to a number of other opportunities. Sea Scouting youth also have additional leadership training opportunities, Sea Scout Advanced Leadership (SEAL), and Top Gun.
