The CRTLC was created to support Venturing in the Central Region. Presided over by the Regional Venturing President, the members are youth that serve as a Area Presidents and other appointed positions. Such other appointed positions include but are not limited to: newsletter editor, and webmaster. The committee is composed of two advisors, one serving as the Regional Venturing Chairman, and the other is the Regional Venturing Staff Advisor. Other advisors are appointed to support the Area Presidents and other appointed youth.
Goals of the CRTLC:
To organize, promote and give leadership to all region-sponsored activities and region communications and to help the Area Venturing Presidents and elected officers of Council TLCs/ VOAs/ EVOAs.
To encourage and aid in interaction between areas/councils and to encourage area/council activities and communications and to provide leadership for such.
To organize and help in the development and implementation of training for Area TLC officers and advisors.
To promote the use of the National High Adventure Bases and Venturing bases throughout the nation.
To provide Venturers and Sea Scouts with a representative voice in the program and policies of Venturing, sharing leadership responsibilities with advisors.
To help maintain an up-to-date roster of all council/area presidents, volunteer chairpersons, staff advisors/directors, and scout executives (where appropriate), including phone numbers and addresses, as well as e-mail addresses.
To help publish regular communications to inform councils about activities, meetings, and projects.
