The Central Region is the administrative body that services eighty-one local BSA councils in the Great Midwest of the United States. The territory spanned by the Central Region includes council headquarter cities in thirteen states. As a whole these eighty-one councils touch the lives of over 820,000 registered in traditional BSA programs. Included in that figure are over 40,000 Venturers at 3,500 units (Crews and Ships). The region works to support and sustain these eighty-one councils as they build, support and sustain their programs. The objectives of the region in terms of Venturing are carried out using the methods of the Venturing program, youth leadership. Through the regional Venturing president, a youth, these goals and many more are carried out on a daily basis. This web based resource is aimed to support these objectives. See the Program Pages tab above for a breakout of the Areas within the region.
