2018-2019 Central Region Venturing Area 7 President - Arianna DavisArianna Davis has been selected as the Area's 2018-2019 Venturing President. Her term will begin June 1, 2018 and continue through May 31, 2019. Arianna is from Northeast Illinois Council and is a resident of Ingleside, IL. She will be a senior this fall at Grant Community High School where she has played volleyball, soccer and is a member of the band and National Honor Society.
Arianna is a member of Crew 185 chartered by the Fox Lake Rotary. Within her Crew, Arianna has held the positions of Vice-President of Finance and Vice-President of Administration. She has also served as the Vice-President of Program for Northeast Illinois Council Venturing Officers' Association. Arianna is also the President of her Girl Scout Troop.
She has taken ILSC, Goal Setting and Time Management training, Project Management and Mentoring training. She has attended Powderhorn and completed Kodiak, as well as Leave No Trace and is a Certified Angling Instructor. Arianna has earned the Venturing Award and is currently working on earning her Discovery Award. She is also the recipient of the Council and Area Venturing Leadership Awards.
During the 2017-2018 term, Arianna served as the Vice-President of Administration for the Area 7 Venturing Officers' Association. Here, she was able to help grow and strengthen membership within the councils; as well as help to start 2 new Council VOA's within the Area. She was also able to help support the councils and have them submit their CSVE to the National Council. Outside of Venturing, Arianna enjoys playing sports, being a member of the band, reading and going on many different types of adventures with her friends and family!
Arianna's goals for her term as President are to have all 8 Councils within the Area have an established Council VOA. She also wants to make sure that we are keeping up our communication on all levels of social media, as well as producing quarterly newsletters. Lastly, she wants to help grow and strengthen our program at our fall and spring events by offering a wide variety of program opportunities to our participants; in addition, she would like to create a 3rd Area event.
