Area VP.jpgCatherine Tutt - V.P. of Communication

Catherine is a member of Crew 2146 out of President Ford Field Service Council and has been involved with Scouting since 2015. Catherine’s dad, older and younger brother, all Eagle Scouts, encouraged her to join scouting, and she would like to thank them and her mom for pushing her to do her best.

During her time as a Venturer, she has served two terms as President of Crew 2146, and has served terms as President Ford Field Service VOA V.P. of Communications, and V.P. of Program. Catherine has completed Kodiak, Project Management and ILSC training, and has taught ILSC, Time Management, Mentoring, and Goal Setting. She has received the Eagle Scout Mentor Pin, Venturing, Discovery, and Pathfinder award. She is currently working on her Summit Award.

Catherine lives in Hudsonville, MI and attends Hudsonville High School as a sophomore. She recently had an article published. In her free time she likes to write, practice clarinet and photography. During this term, Catherine hopes to inspire and encourage passion for Venturing. Catherine also hopes to encourage female youth to push past any boundaries.

Brandon Gaines - V.P. of Administration

Brandon is member of Crew 29 out of the Great Lakes F.S.C. and has been involved in scouting since he was in 1st grade as a tiger cub with Pack 750. For the past 8 years he has been involved with Troop 1539 in Plymouth, MI. Brandon received his Eagle Scout in 2015 and has remained active in his troop since then. As a Venturer Brandon has served on Great Lakes F.S.C. NYLT courses where he is currently the SPL for the July course. Brandon is also active in the Order of the Arrow as he is Unit Elections and Troop relations chair for Noquet Lodge and Awards Chairman for Section C-2. Brandon currently lives in Livonia, MI and attends Schoolcraft Community College in his freshman year where he is studying a double major in Communications and Marketing. In his free time Brandon likes to spend time with his friends, family and he loves to travel.

Cathryn Hardy - V.P. of Program

Cathryn is a part of Crew 4255 located in Rochester Hills. She has been involved in Scouting since Kindergarten and participated in Boy Scouting long before becoming a Venturer in 2013. She is a founding member of Crew 4255. Cat has served as the president of Crew 4255 for its first two years and the Vice President for one. She was also the Vice President of Program for the Great Lakes FSC VOA. She has completed National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) and is staffing for the 2nd year in a row. Cat has received the Venturing Leadership Award for Great Lakes Field Service Council in 2016 and is currently working towards her Summit Award.

When Cathryn is not Scouting, she is in the scene shop at her High School working on the next Rochester Alliance of Theatrical Students (RATS) production or in the Band Room playing her trumpet. This fall Cathryn will be attending Western Michigan University.
