Central Region Venturing Vice Presidents for 2017-2018Please welcome the Central Region Venturing Vice Presidents for 2017-2018:
Kevin Leahy, VP-Administration

Kevin, Catherine and Pamela will be responsible for working closely with
Their term of office will begin on June 1, 2017.
Kevin Leahy will be serving as the Central Region Vice President of Administration for 2017-2018. Kevin served previously as the 2016-2017 Area 7 President.
Kevin is from Pathway to Adventure Council and is a resident of Lemont, IL. He is currently attending the University of Iowa where he is majoring in mechanical engineering.
He is a member of Crew #2049, chartered by Lemont United Methodist Church. Kevin has been involved in the Boy Scouts of America for the past 12 years, starting as a Tiger Cub. Over time, the ideals and foundation that the Scouting program has impacted on his life has made him the person he is today. Kevin is an Eagle Scout and has earned 65 merit badges. He has served as the 2016-2017 Central Region Area 7 Venturing President. Other positions that he has served within his Scouting tenure include: Patrol Leader, Senior Patrol Leader at the 2013 National Scout Jamboree for his Troop, and a crew leader at Northern Tier, Philmont, and Seabase.
Kevin is a Vigil member of the Order of the Arrow, and has been presented with the Founders Award. He has earned 4 NOVA awards, 1 SuperNova Award, the Conservation Award, and the Venturing Award. Kevin hopes to earn his Venturing Summit Award as well.
Outside of Scouting, Kevin competes in MATE Underwater Robotics, volunteering with Starts With Soap –- a non-profit dedicated to equitable education -- and is looking forward to being a Resident Assistant in the fall.
Kevin has taken NYLT, NLS, Mentoring Training and has staffed Pathway to Adventure day camp and Lodge Leadership Development Conferences. In his spare time, Kevin likes to travel, read, juggle, solve Rubix cubes, and hang out with friends.
Catherine Colletti will serve as the Central Region Vice President of Program for 2017-2018. Catherine previously served as the 2016-2017 Area 3 Vice President of Program.
Catherine is from Wildwood, Missouri and is part of Crew 627 in the Greater St. Louis Area Council. She joined Venturing in order to go on a Philmont trek and has loved it ever since.
Catherine previously served as Crew 627 President and VP of Communications, New Horizons District President, and Area 3 VP of Program. She has earned the Religious Life Bronze, Pope Pius XII, Pathfinder, and Dr. Sally Ride Supernova Awards. She has also been honored with a Council VLA. Since joining Venturing, Catherine has completed ILSC, NYLT, NAYLE, Kodiak Challenge, and Powderhorn. She has led Kodiak, the youth STEM Nova "#AWESOME STEM Explorations" course at the Philmont Training Center, and numerous other STEM and Venturing trainings. In the fall of 2016, she joined the National STEM Nova Committee as a youth member.
Outside of Venturing, Catherine has participated in FIRST robotics for nine years, serving as co-captain for her FTC team in the 2016-2017 season. She is a member of the National Honor Society, plays bass in her church choir, and has earned her Girl Scout Gold Award. Catherine is an incoming senior at Eureka High School.
She will staff NAYLE at Philmont and Jamboree with STEM Quest in the summer of 2017.
Pamela Petterchak will serve as the Central Region Vice President of Communication for 2017-2018. Pamela served previously as the 2016-2017 Area 3 Vice President of Administration.
Pamela is a member of Crew 2821 in the Greater St. Louis Area Council. Previously, Pamela has served as the Treasurer, Vice President of Administration, and President of Crew 2821. She has also served as the Gravois Trail District Vice President of Communication.
Pamela has earned the Discovery Award and the Pathfinder Award, and she is working towards the Summit Award. She has completed ILSC, Goal Setting and Time Management, Project Management, and NYLT. Pamela also completed Kodiak Challenge at Florida Sea Base and has staffed ILSC, Personal Safety Awareness, Goal Setting and Time Management, and the 2017 Area 3 Venturing Conference.
Pamela is currently a junior at Affton High School. She has served as a class officer and Vice-President of Student Council, Treasurer and President of the Technology Student Association, and will serve as the National Honor Society President next school year. Pamela also enjoys participating in swimming, drumline, band, and theater.
Pamela’s goals for the upcoming term include making the Venturing program well-known in the greater community and maintaining a creative and consistent social media presence for Central Region.
