Sarah Mittrucker selected as 2012 - 2013 National Venturing Vice PresidentPlease welcome Sarah P. Mittrucker as the 2012–2013 National Venturing Vice President. Sarah is from the Greater St. Louis Area Council and lives in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Her term of office will begin on June 1, 2012. A senior at Notre Dame Regional High School in Cape Girardeau, she plans to attend Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri, in the fall of 2012. She will pursue a double major in business administration and nonprofit administration.
Sarah has been involved in Venturing for four years. During this time, she has served as Vice President of Administration for Crew 4011, founding member and President of Crew 4216, President of the newly formed Shawnee District Venturing Officers' Association, and Central Region Area 3 Vice President of Administration. She is completing her term as the Central Region Venturing Vice President of Administration.
Sarah has earned the Religious Life, Arts and Hobbies, Sports, and Outdoor Venturing Bronze awards; the Venturing Gold Award; the Venturing Silver Award; and the Pope Pius XII Award. She has completed ILSC, VLSC, and Kodiak. She began her Scouting career as a Brownie Girl Scout, eventually earning her Girl Scout Bronze, Silver, and Gold awards. Sarah has been honored with the Council and Area Venturing Leadership awards. Moving on to more high-adventure and leadership roles in Venturing, Sarah has traveled to Philmont and, last summer, the world jamboree.
As National Venturing Vice President, Sarah hopes to encourage and help councils earn the Council Standards of Venturing Excellence Award. She also plans to promote the region operating procedures.
Without a doubt, Sarah will be a great asset to the National President in helping him achieve his goals.
