Your Mom is Drinking Again

Position One: What is all the fuss about?

You are in the middle of your junior year of high school when all of a sudden, you feel like the world is crashing down around you. Your mother was an alcoholic when you were in grade school, went to rehab, and has been sober for three years, until now. While your mom was in rehab, your father said that if she ever drank again, he would leave her. Your father has been travelling a lot lately, and while he is gone, your mom secretly drinks. You know that if you tell your dad, he will leave you and your mom, but if you donít tell your dad, your mom will suffer some pretty serious health conditions. You decide not to tell your dad in order to keep the family together. After all, it is your momís decision how she takes care of her body, not yours.
